The North Bay midweek Summit Shorty is returning for a fourth (fifth?) year.
The Summit Shorty is short course mountain bike racing in Marin on Wednesday evenings atop the hill at McInnis Park. The course is short but has all the goods: steep climbing, rocky descents, great views, and lots of wind!By popular demand, we now have categories for 35 years and older racers. Race all six for great series prizes from GU, WTB, Kelty, and Ultimate Direction. Come get a great midweek workout and support mountain bike racing in Marin for just $10.
Starting April 25th, the short track racing series takes place in San Rafael's McInnis Park.
The races start at 5pm and cost $10 per race ($50 for the entire season).

Summit Marin's summer series is back:The Summit Shorty series returns to Marin for Spring 2010! Come test your fitness in the A,B,C or Women's category on our multi-lap course.Races last for 20+ minutes on fireroads and singletrack. Only $10 to enter and prizes to the top 3 as well as series winners. Races start at 5:30pm, end by 7:00pm. Perfect mid-week training for longer XC races, or just a fun way to push yourself on a Wednesday evening. 5 races in the Spring series: 4/21, 4/28, 5/5, 5/12, 5/19. No license required. Tonight is the 3rd to last (tertultimate ?) race in Summit Bicycle's Summit Shorty Summer Series:The Summit Shorty is back in 2009 for more short course XC racing! Due to popular demand, we will do a spring and a summer series this year. The racing happens Tuesday evenings atop the hill at McInnis Park. The spring race series ran for six Tuesday evenings, beginning May 5th. The Summer Series races are 8/4, 8/11, 8/18, 8/25, 9/1 and 9/8.Again, the race is TONIGHT (Tuesday, August 25th).
Registration opens at 5:00 PM on race day and the race is $10 per person, per race. Each class is limited to 35 riders.

Three categories of racers:
- Beginner racers race for approximately 25 minutes starting at 5:30PM.
- Intermediate racers race for approximately 30 minutes at 6:10PM.
- Advanced racers race for approximately 35 minutes starting at 7PM. "
