2012 Lemurian Shasta Classic

The new website is up for this year's Lemurian Shasta Classic:

Whiskeytown is renowned for it excellent single track, flume trails and decomposed granite. All courses make maximum use of single track. Add in a post-race swim in beautiful Whiskeytown Lake and you’ve got the ingredients for a perfect day!

  • Long Course: 26 miles, 4,300 ft of climbing. More than 50 % single track.
  • Intermediate Course: 20 miles, 3800 ft of elevation gain. Follows much of the long course, but eliminates the 6 mi. Shasta Mine Trail loop.
  • Short Course: 8 miles, 4 mi gentle ascent on dirt road followed by 4 mile single track descent. Expect a couple of technical spots on the way down.

This year's Classic will be on Saturday, April 28, 2012 at Whiskeytown NRA (about 15 miles west of Redding).
